We’re all aging. Let’s talk about it.
Exhibit
An interactive exhibit exploring personal aging narratives
About the Exhibit
On February 21–22, 2025, we hosted the My Aging Story exhibit in Edmonton, Alberta. The exhibit featured 22 powerful stories from Edmontonians of different ages and backgrounds, collected over three years through our initiative.
The exhibit created a physical space for visitors to explore diverse experiences of aging, reflect on their own aging journeys, and see aging as a natural and meaningful part of life.
Engagement
An interactive activity guiding visitors through the exhibit's stories, encouraging deeper engagement with each narrative and the themes they carry.
A space where visitors imagined and wrote about their future older selves. This aimed to help bridge the gap between who they were then and who they want to become in late life.
Displayed stories created space for visitors of all ages to begin conversations with others about aging during the exhibit.

Why It Matters
How we think about aging shapes how we grow old and how we treat one another. By involving people of all ages in these conversations, we build compassionate communities where we can all grow old in.
